This is decent rock 'n' roll. They mix elements of classic rock with some of the grunge sound and good guitar work thrown in. This includes the popular tunes Man in the Box and Sea of Sorrow.
Includes radio hits such as Them Bones and Down in a Hole. This whole grunge rock thing reminds me of the time when glam rock was big with groups like the Crue and Def Leppard. These guys just have an added term: grunge glam rock.
This is a definite change of pace from their previous albums. This is an EP length album (perhaps they are running out material---one can only hope). There is an interesting blend of acoustic and electric sounds. There's this tune called Whale and Wasp which is a very haunting guitar and cello instrumental.
